Newsweek has reached out to the San Antonio Police Department and Lee for comment.

Lee helped lead the U.S. Paralympic sled hockey team to victory in Beijing in March, not allowing opponents to score a goal in four games during the competition, according to The New York Times.

Previously, he served as the team's backup goalie, but when longtime goalie Steve Cash retired last year, he became the starting goaltender, according to the Times. He previously won gold medals during the Paralympics in Russia in 2014 and South Korea in 2018.

In addition to his Twitter post, Lee also shared the video and a similar message about the theft of his gold medals on Instagram.

He also posted photos of his car following the theft, which shows the window on one of his rear doors completely gone while broken glass can be seen on the ground.

"First time for everything, got my car broken into, and all my Paralympic gold medals stolen," Lee wrote in the Instagram post. "This happened around 7:15pm today at The Rim parking garage in San Antonio, TX. Just want to share this as I'm seeking for help and see how I can get my gold medals back."

"My heart just broke for you Jen Lee. Praying that these are recovered, I'm devastated to see these hard-earned medals were taken from you," Instagram user Lauren Tiffany wrote.

"This is terrible. I hope they find this guy and get your medals back," commented user Aidan Woller on Lee's post.
