Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera have a lot in common: they’re both former Disney stars; both graduated from child stardom to an ill-advised floozy phase (Miley’s still in hers); and both have been the subjects of some pretty wild rumors – but there’s one thing these two singers are just not willing to share: a love of leather pants!
During a recent concert, Miley wore a pair of chaps reminiscent of Christina’s "Dirrty" phase, and a source tells Radar Online that Cyrus was so angry with Aguilera for pointing out that she used to rock a similar look that a full-blown feud between the pop icons is now in effect!
"Cheers from one dirrty girl to the next," Aguilera tweeted in response to photo of a leather-clad Miley. "Wear ’em loud & proud!"
Though almost certainly meant as a compliment, Miley took such offense to the tweet that she’s reportedly declined several offers to appear on The Voice – a show on which Aguilera is not even currently a host!
"Even if Christina has temporarily stepped aside, The Voice is still Christina’s show," says the insider. "And Miley doesn’t want to lift a finger to help that woman."
The source adds: "Miley couldn’t believe Xtina would tweet about her wearing chaps on stage, reminding everyone that she did it first. It was such a fake compliment and undermined Miley in the process."
This, of course, isn’t the only bridge Cyrus has burned recently. Earlier this week, Miley blasted Liam Hemsworth in a lengthy mid-concert tirade.
We’re happy Miley is out of the hospital and back on tour, but we’re beginning to think she may need to see a different kind of doctor to address her obvious anger problem.
